Sherlock/John Fic Recs

As requested by lilacwitchtea, but I guess more of you might be interested :) I’m just going with my favourites, shall I? ;)

My top 9:

• The Progress of Sherlock Holmes
  Slow progression of the relationship. The author found a very interesting way to visualise Sherlock’s thought processes.
• The Fabric of Life
  Sherlock returns, and John moulds his life around him, again. The grieving processes are tangible, and they don’t just stop.
• Performance In a Leading Role
  Hollywood AU (read it anyway XD it’s brilliant)
• Mega Indeed
  This is “ACD canon” and not BBC Sherlock. It’s short and completely ridiculous, but awesome XD
• Planet Sherlock
  John is annoyed that Sherlock keeps busting his dates, so he explains what sex means to him. Very funny but still IC.
• Echoes Through Time
  Brings together both the ACD canon and the BBC Sherlock in quite a fascinating way.
• A Study In Winning
  Tennis player AU. It’s a really good read. (I’d advise you to stay clear of the sequel, though. It’s… well… pretty bad, actually. Like the high school version in emotional maturity of this one.)
• Touch the Fleeting Chill of Air
  Sherlock makes an unusual friend.
• Hallowed Eve
  Sherlock is (to John’s surprise) in a Halloween-y mood and plans to attend several parties with his blogger. (Excellent characterisation, witty dialogues, and just overall a very enjoyable read.)

And if you want to give my stories a go, I wouldn’t be angry, either ;)

• One Heart Walking
  He does have a heart. And it’s walking around right in front of him.
  → Post series 1 (four chapters; characterisation not series 2 compatible).
• A Matter of Professional Integrity
  After Reichenbach, John suddenly realises that something is not quite right with what he was meant to see.
  → Post series 2 (five chapter story, plus one chapter sequel with a different POV).
• Dreamscapes
  Sherlock finishes his solitary quest after Reichenbach. He begins to think that John might be better off without him. It takes some interference to prove him wrong.
  → Post series 2 (three part series - somewhat metaphysical).
• Bond Night Is Go (WIP)
  → BBC Sherlock & Skyfall X-Over 
  → Established 00Q; friends-to-lovers Sherlock/John
  → Q as youngest Holmes brother
  → Sequel to Mister Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (works as a stand-alone)
